This is my very first post so I feel the need to start with an apology to anyone reading this now. But I also feel that I am ready for new adventures and endeavors in my life. This is going to be fun!
I have a wonderful family cheering for me. A very funny husband, three amazing kids, a cat named Harley (because I'll never have one but I've always wanted to be in a biker gang) and a miniature (65 lb.) golden doodle. Oh and I can't forget, we have a guinea pig at home with us right now that is on summer vacation from my classroom.
I am a teacher of third graders. This will be my twentieth year of teaching and I still love my job. Not many people can say that about their profession especially those of us in public education. My job has changed a lot over the past twenty years and I see lots of changes still ahead. Every year is a new beginning- new kids, new families, new coworkers, new possibilities. I have gathered many experiences and ideas that I can't wait to share.
My husband and I are vegetarians. He seriously went from eating bacon and burgers to beans and veggies overnight! I have many easy (did I mention I am a mom of three) vegetarian recipes to share that kids will love too!
I am a themed birthday party, on a budget, fanatic. My daughter has requested a pink Paw Patrol birthday party for her 4th birthday in October. You are not going to want to miss that one!
I am hoping I will be able to use this blog this year to share my thoughts, experiences and possibilities. I hope to share ideas, recipes, tips and moments that will help others. People have always told me that I should start my own business of helping others with birthday parties, recipes, crafts, teaching, etc. I don't need another job, I already have one, I want this to be fun!
